Do you accept insurance? One way many people pay for therapy is through insurance. Our providers accept a variety of insurances, but each one accepts different insurances. It is best to call your insurance company to determine your benefits. Insurance can be beneficial in many ways however, in mental health, insurance can also be problematic to your treatment. Insurance companies require that we assign you a medical diagnosis and may request copies of the session notes. They will also often dictate how many sessions you get and may even only cover certain approaches or diagnoses. In addition, it is not uncommon for insurance plans to have a high deductible or charge you a specialist copay At this time, we are an in-network provider for: Select Health Aetna EMI PEHP Cigna DMBA Samera Motiv and Blue Cross Blue Shield. However, if you are seeing an intern therapist, they do not take Blue Cross Blue Shield. We also offer various cash pay rates for those who do not have insurance or do not wish to use insurance. Please call for more information if you are interested in paying out of pocket Please note: while we make effort to verify your benefits, ultimately, you are responsible for knowing what your insurance provider covers. We encourage all clients to check their benefits with their insurance provider.

What is solution focused therapy?Solution focused therapy is a type of counseling that focuses on creating solutions, rather than analyzing the problem itself. In this approach, the counselor and the client work together to identify and amplify the client's strengths and resources to achieve their goals. Solution focused therapy is based on the premise that clients have the capacity to solve their own problems and that they can harness their own strengths and resources to create positive change in their lives. This therapy is often brief and goal-oriented, and it can be effective in treating a wide range of issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship problems, and addiction.

How do I help my child with play therapy?Play therapy is a therapeutic approach that focuses on helping children and their families identify solutions to problems in a playful and non-threatening way. Through play, children are able to express their emotions and feelings in a safe and supportive environment. This approach encourages children to focus on their strengths and resources and to build solutions, rather than dwelling on their difficulties. Solution focused play therapy can be beneficial for children who are struggling with a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral problems, and social difficulties. By empowering children to find their own solutions, they can develop a sense of control over their lives and build resilience. The therapist may use a variety of toys, games, and activities to facilitate the child's exploration and expression. The therapist may also provide guidance and support as the child navigates difficult emotions and experiences. Play therapy can also improve their relationships with others and enhance their overall well-being. If you have concerns about your child's emotional or psychological health, play therapy may be a helpful option to consider.
